- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
Instructions
- Mix ingredients:
In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir well to combine. - Add spices:
Add smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using). Stir until all ingredients are fully incorporated. - Cook:
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally. - Simmer:
Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and flavors meld together. - Cool & store:
Remove from heat and let the sauce cool. Transfer to a jar or airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
