Servings:
This recipe makes 4 servings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Prepare the marinade:
In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. - Marinate the shrimp:
Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes to absorb the flavors. - Preheat the grill:
Heat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F / 200°C). If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 15 minutes to prevent burning. - Skewer the shrimp:
Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers, about 5-6 shrimp per skewer. - Grill the shrimp:
Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque with char marks. - Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
